The stage was set, lights were dimmed and the Lakmé Fashion Week 2019 unveiled a never-seen-before confluence of fashion and jewellery at Jio Garden in Mumbai. The event, in association with Diamond Producers Association (DPA) commenced with video teasers of Lakme and Diamond Producers Association’s impactful campaigns.
Praising the initiatives of DPA on natural diamonds, the show kick-started with a line-up of prêt wear by designer Saaksha and Kinni and adorned by Orra and A.S. Motiwala. With an interesting blend of jeans and other fabrics, the designer brand flaunted stunning everyday wear diamond jewellery. The off-the-rack look matched perfectly with the lightweight designs.

I was excited by the diverse designs showcased by all the talented emerging Diamond jewellery designers from across India. I look forward to seeing their trend-setting winning collections on the runway which will beautifully highlight the fit of everyday wear diamond jewellery with contemporary outfits,” Singh said.
