The brand plans to announce its specific initiatives for cultural preservation and educational support under the Foundation over the coming year
Bagalkote: Sheelvant & Sons Jewels has inaugurated the Sheelvant & Sons Foundation to formalize its social welfare efforts and deepen its engagement with the community. The Foundation was launched recently in North Karnataka, where the brand has built its presence across Bagalkot district and surrounding regions through its gold, diamond and silver jewellery business.
The Foundation will focus on two areas: cultural development and educational support. Its cultural initiatives will seek to support awareness of India’s culture and heritage among younger generations, while its educational programme will provide assistance to children irrespective of caste, creed or community. The brand plans to announce its specific initiatives for cultural preservation and educational support under the Foundation over the coming year.
Mallikarjun Sheelvant, Managing Director, Sheelvant & Sons Jewels, said, “Our business grew because of trust and support of society, so giving back to society is our responsibility. Over the years, we have been supporting many social causes individually, but we wanted to give it a formal structure and a larger vision. That is why we established the Sheelvant & Sons Foundation. Every piece of jewellery a customer buys from us will now contribute to social welfare. Through the Foundation, we want to transform our customers’ trust into a force for positive change.”
As part of the inauguration, Sheelvant & Sons Jewels handed over a cheque of Rs 10 lakh from its 2025-26 CSR fund to Seva Bharati Trust, Hubballi. The event was attended by customers, business community members and citizens from Guledgudda, Bagalkote, Mudhol and Ilkal.
The Foundation gives the retailer another avenue to engage with customers beyond jewellery purchase. Sheelvant & Sons Jewels has served families in the region over four generations through its business, and the new initiative connects its customer relationships with social welfare.
Such programmes create additional touchpoints with existing customers for the brand, while introducing it to new audiences through local participation and word of mouth. For businesses operating on trust and long-term relationships, community engagement can support customer retention and acquisition without making the interaction directly sales-led.
The Foundation also aims to make customers part of the company’s social responsibility efforts. “This is just the beginning. We want to make Sheelvant & Sons Foundation a platform where our customers also feel proud that their purchase is helping a concern of social responsibility,” said Sheelvant.
The Foundation provides a formal structure for Sheelvant & Sons Jewels’ social initiatives while creating a new way for the retailer to remain connected with the communities it serves.
Sheelvant & Sons Jewels is a family-owned jewellery brand based in Karnataka, India, with a four-generation legacy and four stores across Guledgudda, Bagalkote, Mudhol and Ilkal.
