The appointment brings a cultural figure to one of Chanel’s most established jewellery lines, with a global campaign around it scheduled for release
London: Chanel has announced Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams as the newest House Ambassador for its fine jewellery division. Abrams will serve as the face of the Coco Crush collection, with the global campaign around it scheduled for release on January 13.
The appointment brings a cultural figure to one of Chanel’s most established jewellery lines. Abrams has steadily built an international audience since her debut in 2019, gaining recognition for her songwriting and public presence. Her debut album ‘Good Riddance’ earned her a Best New Artist nomination at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, while her recent single ‘That’s So True’ marked her highest-charting release to date.
Coco Crush remains closely tied to Chanel’s design heritage, drawing from the quilted motif first introduced by the house in 1955. In jewellery form, the motif is expressed through clean, intersecting lines paired with softened edges, giving the pieces a tactile and wearable quality. The collection is crafted in 18k gold and is available in yellow gold, white gold and Chanel’s proprietary beige gold, an alloy developed to suit a wide range of skin tones.
The range includes rings, bracelets, earrings and chokers across multiple sizes, allowing wearers to combine pieces across categories and gold tones. Designed with layering and stacking in mind, Coco Crush has positioned itself as a fine jewellery line that fits easily into everyday wardrobes, while remaining suitable for occasion wear.
For luxury jewellery retailers in India, the continued focus on adaptable fine jewellery reflects shifting buying preferences among premium consumers, who are increasingly seeking pieces that balance design value with regular wearability. The use of a music-led ambassador also highlights how global luxury houses are drawing from popular culture to engage younger buyers without altering core design identities.
As Chanel prepares to roll out the campaign globally, Coco Crush continues to sit at the intersection of heritage design and contemporary consumer habits, reinforcing its place within the house’s fine jewellery portfolio.
Chanel operates a wide international retail network spanning Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, with fine jewellery boutiques located in major luxury markets and key shopping destinations.
