Mumbai: The nationwide Lucky Lakshmi jewellery festival, organized by the All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC), has reached an exciting stage with customer interest stoked by the substantial weekly prizes being given out on the basis of draws. Retailers participating in the campaign have reported increased customer interest and footfalls as the festival approaches its final phase. The GJC publicizing winners on social media has added to the buzz.

We spoke to Bawa Jewellers, New Delhi, Paras Jewellers, Jaora and Neelkanth Gold and Diamond Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru, who figure on a larger list of retailers who have handed out 5-gram gold coins to their winning customers. Here is what they have to say:

Gaurav Bawa, CEO, Bawa Jewellers, New Delhi: “The response to the Lucky Lakshmi campaign has been quite good. The marketing initiatives, especially the in-store booth set-up, WhatsApp promotions, and metro pillar branding have helped increase walk-ins and created buzz around the campaign. Our excitement really grew after a customer won the 5-gm gold coin weekly prize. The customer was absolutely thrilled, and that joy reflected on other shoppers too, encouraging more participation,” says Bawa.

He adds, “Our experience with Lucky Lakshmi has been positive. It’s helping us attract new customers, engage existing ones, and add a festive spirit to the store atmosphere. We see it as a great initiative to boost visibility and footfalls during the festive season, which ultimately contributes to stronger sales and better brand recall.”

Gurupkar Singh, Director, Neelkanth Gold and Diamond Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru: “Our brand Neelkanth has been associated with Lucky Lakshmi for a very long time. The campaign has been very helpful to the industry. It has boosted the buying morale of end customers and has helped in giving the festive season a good start as customers have increased their participation in the hope of winning prizes. As a retailer, participating in Lucky Lakshmi has been a great experience as we have had customers who asked specifically about this scheme to participate in it. It has helped us in satisfying our customer base,” Singh states.

Varun Kumar P., Partner, Paras Jewellers, Bengaluru: “The opportunity to win a 5-gram gold coin weekly through Lucky Lakshmi has positively influenced participation in the campaign at our store. Offering such incentives boosts sales, attracts new clients and generates more business overall. Many people respond to the offers, viewing it as the right time to purchase jewellery. This has led to a noticeable rise in sales and a successful season. The campaign also supports marketing efforts and brings in new clientele who are drawn by the exclusive benefits provided,” Varun Kumar says.

With the Lucky Lakshmi festival in full swing, retailers continue to benefit from increased visibility, stronger customer engagement and a positive impact on sales. The initiative runs up to November 9.
