Mumbai: The 2025 edition of Lucky Lakshmi, the flagship initiative of the All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC), continues to drive customer engagement and sales for retailers nationwide. The jewellery shopping festival has helped retailers to sustain sales at a time when rising gold prices has hit the industry hard. With its transparent subscription model, the scheme has been providing measurable returns to participating jewellers. Lucky Lakshmi launched on September 22and runs up to November 9, 2025.

Nakul Bansal, Director, Sona Chandi Jewellers, Haldwani, considers Lucky Lakshmi as a reliable sales driver. “Lucky Lakshmi has been helpful for us, especially through its strong digital presence across social media platforms. Customers are walking into our store asking about the scheme, excited by the chance to win prizes like a 1 kg or 250 g gold bar. Even small-ticket buyers making purchases of Rs 25,000 or Rs 50,000 want to be part ofLucky Lakshmi, which is helping sustain demand despite rising gold prices,” Bansal says.

Ramit Chouhan, Managing Director, Guru Kirpa Jewellers, Kapurthala, reports growing customer engagement and repeat visits.“Lucky Lakshmi has turned out to be a strong engagement tool for us in Punjab. Customers see it as a genuine surprise — they’re thrilled to win, and it’s helping us start conversations around saving and smart jewellery purchases. Beyond the excitement of gold and silver rewards, it’s building trust and encouraging repeat visits. We’ve integrated it with our own lucky draws for cars, scooties and iPhones. Together, these initiatives are creating steady traction. Awareness is still growing in this market, but the early response has been very positive. It’s adding real value to both customer sentiment and sales,” notes Chouhan.

Neel Pethe, Director, Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers, Mumbai, has been witnessing increased traction and outreach through the Lucky Lakshmi campaign. “We have been associated with Lucky Lakshmi for quite some time now, and it has been yielding strong results, especially in terms of traction from rural areas. The initiative has helped us connect with a wider customer base and build awareness about our offerings. Alongside this, we have introduced additional benefits such as rate booking and an assured gold coin on purchases above Rs 50,000, both of which are contributing positively to customer engagement and overall sales,” Pethe states.

As Lucky Lakshmi 2025 progresses, participating retailers are leveraging its structure to expand their customer base, maintain sales momentum, and reinforce consumer confidence across diverse markets.
