Sona Chandis aligns with luxury platform to showcase its jewellery before an affluent audience

The Luxo Show created visibility and potential customer leads for Sona Chandis. The event, attended by an estimated 4,000+ people, brought direct business impact for the jeweller, with some attendees walking into their store and asking for pieces they saw at the show

Kanpur: Sona Chandis Jewellers recently participated as an official partner at the Luxo Show in Kanpur, aligning itself with a premium showcase of luxury brands that included designer wear and high-end automobiles. The collaboration allowed the brand to reach an affluent audience and present its work across two curated fashion segments at the event.

“Luxury elements like designer fashion and automobiles created the right backdrop for our jewellery to stand out,” said Rajendra Agarwal, Owner of Sona ChandisJewellers. “There were around 50 models at the fashion show, and we were able to showcase our collections across two rounds.”

The first round featured heavy diamond jewellery, while the final round was focused on gold jewellery. According to Agarwal, the diamond segment included antique diamond polki with gemstones, such as emeralds and rubies. For the final segment, the brand showcased handcrafted gold pieces that reflect traditional design sensibilities.

“We didn’t launch a new collection specifically for the event,” Agarwal explained. “Instead, we selected real stone jewellery and gold pieces that aligned with the event’s format and styling.”

One segment also featured a collaboration with Golden Threads of Assam, the design label helmed by the wife of the Chief Minister of Assam. Sona Chandis partnered with the designer for the final round of the show.

The event, attended by an estimated 4,000+ people, brought direct business impact for the jeweller.“Since the show, we’ve had 3-4 bridal customers walk into the store, and some of the pieces they saw at the show were finalized for sale,” Agarwal shared. “A couple of other customers even came in with sketches inspired by what they saw and asked for customized designs.”

The post-event feedback was encouraging for the brand, particularly for its gold jewellery collection.“People often come looking for diamond jewellery, but gold isn’t always a priority,” noted Agarwal. “This was a rare opportunity to highlight the craftsmanship in gold, and people were genuinely surprised by the designs we presented.”

With the Luxo Show acting as a platform that merges fashion, luxury and jewellery, the event created visibility and potential customer leads for Sona Chandis. “The response in just two days has been positive,” Agarwal said. “We look forward to exploring similar opportunities that allow us to position our gold and heritage pieces in new ways.”

With its expanded presence in the jewellery market and a focus on creating meaningful partnerships, Sona ChandisJewellers is poised to further solidify its reputation as one of the most prominent jewellery brands in Uttar Pradesh. Founded in 1994 by Roop Chandra Agarwal, Sona Chandis began as a 1,200 sq. ft. showroom in Kanpur. Today, it has expanded into a 15,000 sq. ft. jewellery haven, making it one of Uttar Pradesh’s largest and most prestigious jewellery brands.
