Hyderabad: Fine jewellery brand Vega Jewellers, which listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange in February this year, has intensified its global outreach with a series of exclusive showcases tailored for Telugu-speaking non-resident Indians (NRIs) across the United States. The latest shows are scheduled to be held in Boston on April 5 and Nashua on April 6, continuing the brand’s strategic focus on regions with significant Telugu communities.
Since June 2023, Vega Jewellers has been curating these exhibitions in cities such as Atlanta, Dallas, and Houston, offering a personalized shopping experience for NRIs who seek the quality and design sensibilities of Indian jewellery, without the hassle of international shipping. The shows typically feature a refined selection of gold, diamond, and uncut diamond jewellery, with an emphasis on modern, minimalist designs suited for daily wear and professional settings.
The trunk shows—held almost every weekend in different US cities—are part of the brand’s broader effort to bring India closer to its diaspora, offering familiarity, trust, and convenience to customers who prefer shopping in person. This unique format has enabled Vega Jewellers to build a loyal following within the NRI community, many of whom now see the brand as their go-to destination for high-end jewellery abroad.
These events are designed to offer a more convenient and culturally familiar shopping experience. Prices are displayed in Indian rupees rather than US dollars, which helps customers compare value more easily with purchases back home. The brand also ensures transparent billing practices, avoiding hidden fees or conversion surprises—an approach that resonates strongly with the NRI community.
Notably, Vega Jewellers made its debut on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on February 2, 2025—a significant milestone in the brand’s growth journey. The listing signals the brand’s ambitions to expand its presence both within India and across international markets. A formal bell-ringing ceremony was held at the BSE headquarters in Mumbai to mark the occasion, attended by Vega Jewellers’ Managing Partner Manideep Yechuri along with other key representatives of the brand.
In addition to its flagship store at Hyderabad in Telangana and existing stores in Vijayawada, Kakinada and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, Vega Jewellers plans to expand its retail presence in Hyderabad and add new locations at Eluru and Kothapet in Andhra Pradesh.
