The vehicle donated by the brand will assist in transporting patients, help with delivery of meals and laundry services, supporting the services at Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Center and Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital
Varanasi: Chetmani Ornaments & Jewellers Pvt. Ltd. recently reiterated its commitment to social responsibility by donating a vehicle for the benefit of patients at the Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Center and Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital. The vehicle will assist in transporting patients, help with the delivery of meals and laundry services, supporting the hospital’s services.
Sumit Agarwal, Director of Chetmani Ornaments & Jewellers, said that this contribution is an extension of the brand’s ongoing efforts to support cancer patients. “We have been associated with the Tata Memorial Cancer Institute for several years, and this is not our first initiative,” he said. “In the past, we have provided free treatment for cancer patients, and this new donation addresses the hospital’s need for a transport vehicle. It will help ease the movement of patients between different departments within the large oncology facility.”
Dr Satyajeet Pradhan, the hospital’s director, expressed his gratitude for the contribution, acknowledging the positive impact it will have on the patients’ convenience and well-being. “This vehicle will significantly improve the transport of patients and help us provide essential services more efficiently,” Dr Pradhan said.
Saying that the donation was not in any way aimed at enhancing the brand’s visibility, Agarwal emphasized the importance of giving back to society. “Our primary focus is not branding but contributing to society,” he explained. “This initiative is all about fulfilling our social responsibility.”
Agarwal also urged other business owners to take similar actions. “Every jeweller is earning well, and it is crucial that we also give back to society,” he said. “More people should come forward to support philanthropic causes, and this is just one way we can make a difference.”
Recently, Chetmani Ornaments & Jewellers collaborated with the Swachchanjali Kuda Bazar Foundation, an NGO focused on cleanliness and waste management, for Plogathon 2.0. Held in Varanasi, the event sought to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in urban areas and inspire the local community to take responsibility for their environment.
This contribution marks another significant step in Chetmani Ornaments & Jewellers’ efforts to provide meaningful support to healthcare initiatives, demonstrating the brand’s deep focus on community welfare.
Currently, Chetmani Ornaments & Jewellers operates seven stores in Varanasi, with plans to open two more in the coming months. It aims to have over 50 stores across the region within the next three years.
