As exclusive jewellery partner for the event hosted by the Times of India, the brand used the platform not only to highlight its commitment to women’s empowerment but also reached out to a power group of women entrepreneurs and professionals
Indore: DC Jewellers recently stepped up as exclusive jewellery partner of an event hosted by the Times of India newspaper group to honour women achievers and celebrate women’s empowerment. Around 150 women associated with various initiatives related to women’s empowerment participated in the event and were felicitated for their accomplishments. The brand used the platform effectively to engage with the influential community of women entrepreneurs and professionals.
The brand’s primary objective at the event, held in Indore on International Women’s Day, was to raise awareness about the importance of women’s empowerment. “The idea behind this event was to bring focus on women’s empowerment and to provide a platform where women from different walks of life could be recognized for their contributions,” said Vikas Kataria, Director, DC Jewellers.

The Times of India roped in the prestigious WOW group in Indore, a network of 500 women entrepreneurs and professionals, for the event. The group actively engages in initiatives that empower women and support their growth in various sectors. During the event, discussions centred around topics such as the importance of women occupying prestigious positions in society, how to groom oneself for leadership roles and the value of self-empowerment.
The event’s success extended beyond the celebratory aspect. It provided valuable exposure for DC Jewellers, helping the brand strengthen its connection with a high-profile audience. Kataria said, “We expected business opportunities from this group of women, many of whom are entrepreneurs and decision-makers in their respective fields. The response was overwhelming, and we are confident that it will lead to further engagement.”

The collaboration with Times of India provided DC Jewellers with an excellent opportunity to increase brand visibility and showcase its offerings to a diverse, influential group. In addition to strengthening relationships within the community, the event also opened doors for potential future partnerships and collaborations, with attendees expressing interest in supporting the brand in various capacities.
This event not only allowed DC Jewellers to engage with an important demographic but also helped the brand align with the ongoing conversation about gender equality and leadership.
DC Jewellers is set to open its first showroom outside of Ratlam in Indore this April. The brand was founded in 1920 in Ratlam, where it also operates its flagship store. The new Indore location will continue the legacy of its founder, Dhulchand Ji Kataria, and aim to bring his values of transparency and high-quality craftsmanship closer to Indore’s jewellery enthusiasts.
