Hassan: GRT Jewellers has expanded its retail presence with the launch of a new showroom in Hassan, Karnataka. The grand opening took place on March 9, at Mangalore Road (Near the Hassan Club) in Sathyamangela, Hassan. This is the brand’s 62nd retail outlet across India.
Notably, the city of Hassan dates back to the rule of the Hoysala empire in the 11th century. The Hoysalas ruled this city for a long time and their influence can be seen in the art and inscriptions on famous monuments such as Halebidu, Belur and Shravanabelagola, which attract significant tourist footfalls.
Hassan is also an industrial hub in Karnataka. Major industries related to pharma, textiles, food processing sectors and also numerous MSMEs have set up their units in the KIADB Industrial Growth Centre, Hassan, bringing a sizeable population of professionals to the city.
