Mangaluru: Kevabox, a modernistic jewellery sub-brand of City Gold and Diamonds, has announced acclaimed South actor and singer Madonna Sebastian as its brand ambassador. According to the brand, which specializes in affordable fine jewellery, the actor’s association will resonate with fashion-forward audiences and fine jewellery enthusiasts alike.
Sebastian is best known for her role in the coming-of-age Malayalam film Premam, and took to Instagram on V-day to announce her new Tamil film ‘Heartin’. She recently inaugurated Kevabox’s fifth retail outlet at Forum Mall located in Maradu, Kochi. The store is the latest addition to the brand’s retail footprint of four earlier stores located at Nexus Shantiniketan Mall in Whitefield, Bengaluru, Fiza by Nexus Mall in Mangaluru, MG Road in Kasaragod and Hilite Mall in Kozhikode. The brand is looking to increase its visibility in both high street and mall-based locations.
The 500 sq. ft store features a curated mix of lightweight jewellery, including natural diamond products, 18-carat ornaments and lapel pins. It aims to cater to the growing demand for quality yet affordable lightweight jewellery in the region, and also exploring opportunities in north and central India.
As part of a broader strategy for expansion in Kerala and beyond in the southern region, the brand has several store locations lined up in cities like Trivandrum, Kottayam and Kannur.
Notably, Kevabox’s parent company City Gold and Diamonds is a leading jewellery retailer in Kerala, and was founded at Kasaragod, Kerala in 1999. In 2016, the brand re-entered the market with a new brand logo and corporate colour theme. Today, it has five showrooms located at Kasaragod, Uppala, Kanhangad, Puttur and Mangaluru. Recently, City Gold and Diamonds made its foray into the international market with the inauguration of a store at Gold Souq Extension in Deira, Dubai and another one at Sharjah.
