Chennai: Princeson Jose, Chairman and Managing Director of Prince Jewellery, along with the brand’s Director Sheeba Prince, recently presented a specially crafted silver memento to Pope Francis, head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State, during the centenary celebration of the All Religions Conference held in Vatican City. The event, marking 100 years of interfaith dialogue and harmony, saw representatives from various religious communities come together to celebrate shared values of unity and peace.
When asked about the inspiration behind the memento, a spokesperson for Prince Jewellery shared that the idea was born out of a desire to honour Pope Francis as a global symbol of spiritual leadership. “His Holiness Pope Francis stands for humility, compassion and peace,” Antony Prince, Director, Prince Jewellery said. “Crafting a silver memento felt like a fitting tribute to these values and the hope he inspires worldwide.”
The design of the memento is rich in symbolism. It incorporates elements that represent unity, faith and compassion, aligning with the Pope’s teachings. The silver plaque was meticulously crafted with every detail thoughtfully chosen to reflect his spiritual leadership and universal appeal. The memento encapsulates the essence of the Pope’s work in a form that can be kept as a lasting symbol of peace and goodwill.
The opportunity to present the memento to the Pope arose following an invitation from the organizers of the inter-faith meet. As part of the centenary celebration, they sought to honour Pope Francis for his role in fostering inter-faith dialogue and promoting peace. Prince Jewellery was selected to contribute a handcrafted memento for the occasion.
“We felt deeply honoured to present this memento to someone who has dedicated his life to promoting unity and compassion among people of all faiths,” said Antony Prince. “It was a moment of pride for us to be part of such a significant occasion and to contribute to the celebration of Pope Francis’ remarkable work.”
By promoting interfaith harmony, Prince Jewellery enhanced its appeal to a wider range of customers, irrespective of their religion or cultural background. A commitment to inclusivity also allows the brand to attract customers who value diversity and peace, enhancing its reputation and brand image.
