Celebrities display the latest styles in statement earrings, chokers, silver jewellery, and other accessories as they seek blessings of Lord Ganesha at Ambani’s Antilia

Mumbai: Ganesh Chaturthi in Maharashtra is always a vibrant celebration, with celebrities participating in darshan at illustrious Ganpati Pandals like Ambani’s Antilia, as well as hosting their own home festivities. This year, Bollywood celebrities dazzled with their fashion choices, wearing minimalist attires that emphasised standout jewellery pieces. 2024’s Ganesh Chaturthi offered a glimpse into the jewellery trends shaping the industry.

Celebrities such as Kareena Kapoor Khan and Madhuri Dixit Nene have been spotted wearing long, heavy earrings that make a statement on their own. The focus was clearly on jewellery, with earrings taking the centerstage. As posed by Sonam A. Kapoor and Sai Tamhankar, another trend of earrings extended to attach to the hair, creating a vintage yet contemporary look, was observed.

Chokers continue to shine in the jewellery world as seen in Shanaya Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. Genelia D Deshmukh showcased silver couture jewellery during Ganesh Chaturthi, wearing a heavy silver necklace and earrings, a perfect example of this rising trend. Additionally, colourful Polki stones, emeralds, and traditional temple jewellery continue to stay in vogue.

Marathi filmstar Sai Tamhankar embraced her cultural roots with a traditional look that resonated with modern jewellery trends. Her earrings, extended into a hair accessory from Aarika by Chandrika, combined the best of Kundan and Polki work. She completed her ensemble with a choker and stacked bangles from the Mumbai-based brand, proving that tradition and contemporary fashion can go hand in hand 

Kareena Kapoor Khan

When it comes to making a statement, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s oversized earrings from Sabyasachi Jewellery stole the show. Worn with a red and golden churidar salwar suit from the same designer, her look was bold yet refined. Kareena’s minimalist approach to attire, letting her jewellery take center stage, was a trend followed by many others during the festivities

Chokers have made a massive comeback, and Shanaya Kapoor’s Ganesh Chaturthi appearance only confirmed this trend. Her peach-pink saree and a colour-blocked combination of golden and apple green jewellery stood out as one of the most elegant ensembles of the season
