Titan partners with Rhythm to launch Tanishq jewellery brand in BangladeshÂ
The collaboration will begin with the establishment of a manufacturing facility in Narayanganj, Bangladesh, according to a joint statement
Mumbai: Titan Company is set to introduce its renowned jewellery brand, Tanishq, in Bangladesh as part of its international expansion strategy. The announcement came on Saturday, following the signing of a joint venture agreement with Rhythm Group, a prominent Bangladeshi entity.
The collaboration will begin with the establishment of a manufacturing facility in Narayanganj, Bangladesh, according to a joint statement released recently. This facility marks the commencement of Tanishq’s operations in the Bangladeshi market.Â
Titan, a Tata Group-managed firm, has been expanding Tanishq’s global presence, with 17 stores currently operating in the UAE, US, Qatar, Singapore, and Oman. The company’s watch business also has a significant footprint in the SAARC, MENA (Middle East and North Africa), and Southeast Asian regions. In recent years, Titan has focused on growing its flagship jewellery brand overseas.
Established in 1972, Rhythm Group initially produced desi textile fabrics and has since diversified into various sectors. The joint venture aims to blend Tanishq’s exceptional artisanship and brand legacy with Rhythm Group’s robust market presence and local expertise. This partnership seeks to manufacture and sell jewellery to discerning consumers in Bangladesh.
Titan Company MD, C K Venkataraman, expressed optimism about the collaboration, stating, “Together, we will leverage our combined strengths to elevate the jewellery industry in Bangladesh and make Bangladesh the hub for making Tanishq Exquisite Jewellery for the world.”Â
Titan Company is a joint venture between Tata Group and the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO).
