Nitin Gadkari unveils the G20 choker necklace at PNG Jewellers’ new store in Nagpur

The G20 necklace, featuring 20 non-colourized flowers and symbolising the national flowers of the participating countries, is an ode to the occasion of India’s presidency of the G20 forum for the first time

PNG Jewellers launched its second new store in Nagpur’s Abhyankar Nagar at the cusp of the festive season. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister, Road Transport and Highways inaugurated the grand launch of the 5000 sq. ft. store, along with his wife Kanchan Gadkari and Saurabh Gadgil, Chairman and Managing Director, PNG Jewellers. The event was attended by prominent personalities of the city of Nagpur, members of the PNG Jewellers family and patrons of the brand.

The new Nagpur store offers a more immersive and luxurious shopping environment to its customers. PNG Jewellers has meticulously designed the space to reflect the brand’s values of deep sophistication, Maharashtrian heritage and artistry as well as its commitment to contemporary designs rooted in tradition. From gold jewellery to natural diamond jewellery and silver products, over 3000 designs will adorn the new store for the benefit of the patrons of Nagpur city.

Unveiling the G20 Necklace

The evening was commemorated by the unveiling and showcase of the G20 necklace by Nitin Gadkari. The G20 necklace is an ode to the occasion of India taking over the presidency of the G20 Forum for the first time. This exquisite necklace, a masterpiece co-crafted by PNG Jewellers is a reflection of our nation’s journey towards global harmony and prosperity. The jewellery piece symbolizes unity, shared responsibility and our collective duty towards the world we live in. The necklace is a reflection of this year’s theme of One Earth, One Family, One Future for the G20 summit slated to start in New Delhi later this month.

The choker necklace is adorned by 20 flowers, each the national flower of a participating country, all non-colourized to showcase unity and harmony amongst all participating countries working towards a common goal. This choice sends a resounding message of collaboration and cooperation, echoing the ethos of the G20 summit’s shared responsibility for a brighter global future. The necklace will be available for viewing across select PNG Jewellers stores during the month of September 2023.

The creation of the necklace is a meticulous journey that combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary artistry. Exquisite floral patterns are meticulously carved in wax and then cast to achieve a flawless finish. The piece is adorned with green aventurine stone, a nod to Earth. Its design encompasses a balanced interplay of matte and high polish finishes, with the oxidized base allowing the intricate floral motifs to stand out prominently.
