To celebrate the generous spirit of Varamahalakshmi, a festival that reveres the Goddess of Prosperity, wealth and joy, Tanishq has launched ‘Aarna’ , an exclusive Varamahalakshmi collection inspired by the Goddess herself and her various forms.

Tanishq is celebrating the modern woman and her spirit that is an amalgamation of all the manifestations of Goddess Lakshmi. She is the protector; she is also the provider and Tanishq wants to adorn her for the multiple ‘varas’ she grants through the day. For her, Tanishq is introducing ‘Aarna’ that means ‘river’ or ‘wave’ and is an epithet used to refer to Goddess Lakshmi.

The jewellery in the collection has been artistically designed and meticulously crafted in reverence to the Goddess. It comprises an exclusive line of neckwear, harams, jada, vanki, waist belts, earrings and bangles in gold, colour stones and pearls to cater to the varied tastes of today’s ‘Lakshmi’. It aims to capture the spirit of every woman who creates her own legacy. It pays an ode to divinity in its varied forms that resides within each woman.

The Varamahalakshmi festival is celebrated in the month of Shravan, by offering prayers to the one who grants ‘varas’ (wishes), i.e., Goddess Lakshmi, the harbinger of wealth, prosperity, abundance and well-being. Worshipping the Goddess on this day is said to be equivalent to worshipping her eight forms separately. The festival falls on August 25 this year.
