The Joyalukkas Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility work is no mere compliance and visibility project. It is a programme of long-standing and measurable impact, changing lives for the better.

For half a decade to date, the brand has organised monthly medical camps in remote villages of Kerala. Joyalukkas partners with major regional hospitals to send a team of 60 people, including doctors and nurses, regularly to the hinterland. Medicines are provided, and if patients require extensive or expensive treatment, they are referred to specific hospitals for free treatments.

Diabetes is alarmingly prevalent in Kerala. Every month since 2018, through all its showrooms in the state, Joyalukkas has provided thousands of needy patients with dialysis kits. The company is developing plans to establish a dialysis centre in every district of India.

Joyalukkas helps support orphanages and old age homes in all four states of South India. In Kerala, the company has a network of old age homes, each able to accommodate 120 people.
Serious illnesses are a leading cause of household financial stress across the country.

Joyalukkas is working to help defray these costs for families struggling to provide members with treatment and care for cancer, kidney ailments and similar diseases that they cannot otherwise afford.

Beyond health care, Joyalukkas has established special education schools in Andhra Pradesh. It has built 250 houses for victims of the 2018 flood disaster in Kerala. As a rule, it donates generously to government disaster management funds.

Empowerment is a third key facet of Joyalukkas’ CSR programme. In 2018 and 2019, the brand conducted fashion design courses for 300 women, all of whom subsequently won satisfactory employment. Following this success, Joyalukkas established a full-fledged design course. It is now developing vocational courses to equip unemployed workers with valuable skills, such as operating CNC machines (computer-driven manufacture) and welding.

The Joyalukkas Group’s commitment to CSR places it firmly in the ethical top ranks of India’s corporate universe.
