‘We are looking to expand our variety with new shapes and cuts in diamonds’
Somil Modi, director, Jaipur Diamonds, talks to Samit Bhatta, publisher of The Retail Jeweller India magazine about his expectations from the IIJS
What are your expectations from the IIJS and what products are you looking at?
We are very excited about the IIJS. We are looking for sustainable jewellery options in bridal sets as that is what the new-age bride wants now. We are looking for new concepts and fancy diamonds. We are looking to expand our variety with new shapes and cuts in diamonds.
There is a couture section with more than 350 exhibitors this time. What will you look for here?
We have just gone online and are exploring lightweight, wearable, and budget-friendly jewellery. We are excited about couture jewellery and hope to fill up our inventory from the new section and new exhibitors.
