A couple of years ago, a new customer came to our shop. He was looking for small jewellery boxes to keep two gold rings. I gave him the boxes and refused to take the money when he tried to pay for them. The customer was so impressed with this small gesture that he came to our shop again a few days later and bought some jewellery. Soon he became a regular client. Now not only does he always buy from my store, he also makes sure his relatives and friends purchase jewellery from us. In fact, every month, I get about 5 or 6 customers who have been referred by him, and he also visits us to buy jewellery at regular intervals.
