Madurai: Thangamayil Jewellery recently concluded a two-day Leaders’ Get-Together, bringing together more than 90 leaders and managers from across its retail network. The initiative, designed to align business objectives, strengthen leadership capabilities and encourage collaboration across branches, marks a key component of the brand’s internal development strategy.
The meet was carefully curated to go beyond routine planning. It aimed to inspire leaders to take ownership of their goals, exchange ideas, and return to their stores with renewed purpose. By blending formal business sessions with experiential engagement, Thangamayil created a platform for meaningful conversations, idea-sharing and collective learning.
Day 1 involved structured team games that encouraged problem-solving and collaboration in a relaxed setting. Thereafter, the agenda shifted to a focused strategy and planning session. The day concluded with an informal beachside gathering, enabling cross-branch teams to interact and build connections outside their usual work environment.
Day 2 had activities designed to energize the group and reinforce team dynamics. The highlight of the second day was a training session led by an external mentor, who brought valuable insights on leadership, team motivation and customer engagement. The meet concluded with a shared commitment to apply the learnings in day-to-day operations.
Explaining the aim of the initiative, Ba. Ramesh, Joint Managing Director, Thangamayil Jewellery, stated, “Leadership is not just about setting goals, it’s about inspiring people to see those goals as theirs and grow together. It turned a public limited company in 2007 and released its maiden equity shares in 2010, which listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Limited and National Stock Exchange (NSE) Limited.
