The event helped Talla Jewellers expand brand visibility and connect with audiences interested in craft and design
Jammu: Talla Jewellers participated as the jewellery partner at ‘The Himalayan Panchatantra’, an event that brought together fashion, craft and design through a curated showcase in Jammu. Handcrafted garments combined with jewellery presentations created a platform where textile and jewellery craftsmanship were displayed together for the audience.
The event was organized in collaboration with designer Pragaya Agrawal and her brand October Clothing. The theme highlighted story-telling through craft and design, which influenced how jewellery and garments were presented on the runway. According to the organizers, the presentation was structured to allow audiences to view jewellery as part of a broader design narrative.
The event featured a ramp walk where professional models presented garments designed with silver block prints, paired with jewellery from Talla Jewellers. The presentation included pieces in silver, gold, diamond and Polki, selected from the brand’s collections to align with the theme of the event. The showcase positioned jewellery as a central element of the styling, allowing the audience to view the pieces in co-ordination with handcrafted clothing.
Aman Talla, Managing Director of Talla Jewellers, said the collaboration aligned with the brand’s connection with regional craft traditions. “Our association with ‘The Himalayan Panchatantra’ was driven by the opportunity to bring jewellery craftsmanship onto a platform that celebrates regional craft and design. It allowed us to present our work within a cultural setting that reflects the heritage we represent,” he said.
Gupta noted that the ramp walk provided a new context for presenting the brand’s jewellery. “The jewellery showcased at the event was drawn largely from our existing collections, but the selection was curated to align with the theme of the presentation. The runway allowed audiences to experience these pieces in a different format,” he said.
The event was attended by members of Jammu’s social and business communities, along with individuals interested in fashion and craft. For the brand, the collaboration created opportunities to interact with audiences beyond traditional retail spaces.
Gupta added. “Associations like this contribute to brand visibility and open conversations around jewellery design, craft and heritage, while also introducing the brand to new audiences.” Through its participation in ‘The Himalayan Panchatantra’, Talla Jewellers positioned its jewellery within a cultural showcase, reinforcing its connection with craft-led design and regional narratives.
Talla Jewellers, founded in 1986 by Ajay Talla, has grown from humble beginnings to become a leading jewellery brand in Jammu & Kashmir. The company now operates four stores in Jammu and serves over 2,00,000 customers, maintaining a strong focus on craftsmanship and customer service.
