The jeweller launched nine new showrooms during Q1FY26, and is on track with the plan to open 20 new stores in FY26
Kolkata: In regulatory filings, Senco Gold and Diamonds has reported that its retail revenue rose 24% year-on-year (YoY) in the first quarter of FY26, and total revenue rose by approximately 28%. The jeweller attributed this to heightened consumer demand during key regional festivals and an aggressive retail expansion strategy.
Festivals like Akshaya Tritiya, Poila Baishakh (West Bengal), Baisakhi (Punjab), Bihu (Assam), and Ramnavmi served as high consumption occasions, boosting footfalls and driving sales across Senco Gold’s network of stores across India.
In line with its growth strategy, Senco Gold launched nine new showrooms during Q1FY26, bringing its total store count to 179.
The quarter also saw a sharp rise in domestic gold prices, which averaged between Rs 86,900 and Rs 1,01,000 per 10 grams. Despite the price volatility, consumer demand remained robust for Senco Gold.
Senco Gold remains on track to open 20 new stores in FY26, having already launched nine, with franchise expansion underway across lifestyle brands. Despite Q2’s seasonal challenges, early monsoon, stable macros and upcoming festivals are expected to support demand. The company is pushing diamond and lightweight jewellery, while noting rising interest in 14K–18K pieces amid a broader shift toward 9K.
The company is also exploring the franchisee route to accelerate the expansion of its lifestyle and fashion jewellery brands — Sennes, Gossip and Everlite. This move is expected to broaden Senco’s reach and diversify its customer base across markets.
