According to the brand, planting trees in the names of young customers is a way of celebrating them while also nurturing the planet they will inherit
Kolkata: Sawansukha Jewellers marked Children’s Day with an initiative that connects its young customers to long-term environmental impact. As part of its commitment to giving back to the community, the brand planted 100 trees, each in the name of a young customer, honouring their innocence, joy and the promise they hold for the future.
This initiative is an extension of Bachpan, an endeavour the brand launched in 2021. Beyond being a curated jewellery line for children, Bachpan stands for compassion and responsibility. Since its inception, the collection has carried a deeper mission—its profits are dedicated to supporting the education of underprivileged children. Till date, more than 120 children have received educational support through this initiative.
Commenting on the Children’s Day activity, Siddharthaa Sawansukha, Managing Director, Sawansukha Jewellers, said, “As a brand rooted in trust, quality, and social responsibility, we believe every action should contribute to a better future. Planting trees in the names of our young customers is our way of celebrating them while also nurturing the planet they will inherit.”
The Children’s Day initiative not only reflects Sawansukha’s core values but also reinforces its commitment to creating lasting impact—socially, educationally, and environmentally.
The initiative also helps the brand maintain a continuous connection with customers. By tagging each tree to a child’s name, the brand has forged a link that will grow over time and can be revisited in future.
Sawansukha Jewellers runs seven stores – the flagship Camac Street showroom and four other stores in Kolkata, and one store each in Siliguri and Raipur.
