Mumbai: Luxury couture label Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla (AJSK) has entered the high jewellery segment with the launch of ‘Iconic Jewels’, marking the couture house’s expansion into fine jewellery after four decades in fashion. Actor Dimple Kapadia is the face of the debut jewellery line, continuing her long-standing association with the designer duo behind the label.

The collection comprises multiple ranges that translate design elements associated with the house’s couture into jewellery. The Abad Collection draws from Patola embroidery and uses 18-karat gold, Zambian emeralds, Mozambique rubies and multicoloured sapphires. Roshnai takes reference from Chikankari and combines diamonds and pearls in Mughal-inspired motifs. Rudra and Taweez use diamonds, rubies and gold and incorporate symbolic references, while Junoon features emeralds and rubies with dragon-inspired forms.

On the AJSK website, ‘Iconic Jewels’ is described as “a 40-year embroidery legacy, reimagined in its most precious form. Handcrafted with rare diamonds and gemstones… From Chikankari and Patola, to mystical talismans, the fire of the dragon and the symbolism of Aikyam, every piece carries the essence of the creative universe of AJSK”.

Kapadia’s association with Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla dates back to the early years of the label. She was among the early clients of Mata Hari, the duo’s first boutique, and has subsequently worked with the designers across their fashion projects. For the new jewellery line, she appears across the launch campaign wearing pieces from the Abad, Roshnai, Taweez and Junoon ranges.

The debut of ‘Iconic Jewels’ also coincides with the launch of Mubarak Baug, the brand’s new flagship store in South Mumbai. Located inside the heritage Framjee Cawasjee Institute building, the 20,000 sq. ft store houses the brand’s couture, ready-to-wear and archival work, alongside a dedicated jewellery vault for ‘Iconic Jewels’. The vault features a diamond-inspired structure and is currently the primary retail location for the collection.

The House of Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla is renowned for elevating embroidery traditions into masterpieces of luxury. It has dressed a plethora of Indian and global celebrities, with each handcrafted creation reflecting India’s craft and cultural splendour.

Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla began operations in 1986, and currently operates four retail locations across Mumbai and New Delhi. These include its flagship store at Framjee Cawasjee Institute, Om Chambers at Kemps Corner and Jio World Plaza in Mumbai, along with its DLF Emporio Store in New Delhi.
