PGI ties up with MS Dhoni to launch a limited-edition signature platinum collection
The collection will be available at select retailers across India starting in October, just in time for Diwali
Mumbai: Platinum Guild International (PGI) India has launched a new, exclusive platinum jewellery collection in collaboration with legendary Indian cricketer MS Dhoni. The collection, named “Men of Platinum: MS Dhoni Signature Collection,” features designs inspired by Dhoni’s iconic style, unwavering spirit, and unmatched achievements.
Crafted in 95% platinum, each piece in the collection is a testament to Dhoni’s determination, self-belief, courage, humility, and composure. The designs are minimalist yet striking, reflecting the essence of Dhoni’s personality and career.
Speaking about the collaboration, MS Dhoni said, “It’s been a privilege to work with Men of Platinum on this special collection. Platinum’s strength, rarity, and enduring qualities have always resonated with me. This collection, marked with my signature, carries personal significance. It reflects the values that have shaped who I am—grit, composure, and self-belief.”

PGI, under its Men of Platinum range, has quite frequently affiliated with cricket, leveraging the sport’s religious fandom. Capitalising on the fervour generated by the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, Platinum Guild International (PGI) collaborated with a leading global cricketing platform, ESPNcricinfo last year, to strengthen the Men of Platinum’s brand association with cricket. The collaboration entails an integrated content initiative to celebrate the sporting season.
The brand also made its mark on the T2O world cup which saw India as champions this time around. PGI India’s Men of Platinum enhanced the T20 Cricket World Cup season with the launch of the ‘Man of Platinum of the Match’ contest, offering prizes to cricket fans. The initiative aimed to celebrate true men of character, both on and off the field, during the high-octane T20 World Cup.
The brand is also associated with Surya Kumar Yadav for the same jewellery line. This contest builds on the excitement generated by the ‘Men of Platinum’ campaign, which featured a popular six-part episodic series starring leading cricketer and brand ambassador Suryakumar Yadav. Titled “A Minute with Men of Platinum,” the series is available on Disney + Hotstar and the brand’s website.
