New Delhi: Leading lab-grown diamond brand Limelight Diamonds, has just unveiled its second store in the capital city – its largest one so far – further solidifying its presence in this prominent market. The brand’s new location in the prestigious Rajouri Garden area is a strategic move to cater to the distinctive jewellery clientele in that area. The brand-new store was inaugurated by actor Neha Dhupia, along with Nirav Bhatt, Co-Founder of Limelight Diamonds and Karam Chawla, Director of Limelight Diamonds.
Lavishly spread across an area of 1500+ sq. ft., this store marks another milestone for Limelight Diamonds as they continue to expand their footprint across India. In the last two years, the brand has seen rapid growth and has the widest reach in the country for LGD jewellery with a presence across 35+ cities including Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Jaipur, Varanasi, Hyderabad, Rajkot, Bangalore, Chennai etc. The expansion comes as the brand aims to open 15 additional stores nationwide by December to meet the growing demand for lab-grown diamond jewellery.
Pooja Sheth Madhavan, Founder and Managing Director of Limelight Diamonds, noted the enthusiastic response from Delhi customers, highlighting the city’s love for premium quality and affordable luxury. She pointed out that the lab-grown diamond industry in India is experiencing significant growth, thanks to rising consumer awareness and acceptance.
Madhavan explained that lab-grown diamonds are identical to mined diamonds, made of the same carbon material, but are more affordable due to lower production costs. This affordability allows consumers to upgrade their jewellery without exceeding their budgets.
The store’s design reflects the brand’s leaning towards sustainability and luxury, offering a clean, minimalistic aesthetic that enhances the beauty of the jewellery. Customers can also benefit from services such as design customization, lifetime buyback, and a 100% exchange guarantee, which instills confidence in their purchases.
As the lab-grown diamond sector grows, brands like Limelight are helping to reshape the traditional jewellery market, further validated by the recent entry of major players like the Tata Group. With lab-grown diamonds now representing approximately 20% of the global jewellery market, India is seeing impressive annual growth in this innovative sector. Limelight’s sales have tripled year on year, demonstrating strong consumer interest and confidence in their offerings.
Today, lab grown diamonds account for an estimated 20% of the global gem and jewellery market, and India is experiencing an impressive 15% annual growth in this sector.
