Hari Krishna Group unites 32 couples in Surat even as it completes 12 years of mass marriage festivals
Including the latest iteration of the annual philanthropic exercise, the jewellery group has enabled 553 couples to tie the knot so far
Surat: Leading jewellery group Hari Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd hosted its 12th annual mass marriage festival on November 27 at the HK Hub Facility in Surat. The event united 32 couples in a lively ceremony, bringing the total number of couples joined under this initiative to 553. This year, the couples hailed from 50 villages, 40 cities and four States, exemplifying the diversity and reach of this tradition.
Reflecting the spirit of love, community and care, the festival drew over 2,000 attendees, including family members, friends, and well-wishers from the Hari Krishna community and the company’s top management. Each couple was gifted with essential household items, including gold ornaments, silverware and home essentials, symbolizing the company’s commitment to supporting their new beginnings.
Notably, Hari Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd has been a champion of community empowerment through diverse corporate social responsibility and philanthropic activities. Speaking at the event, Savjibhai Dholakia, Founder of Hari Krishna Exports, shared his vision for the mass marriage initiative. “This festival is a heartfelt celebration of togetherness and new beginnings. Seeing these couples venture on their journey fills us with joy, as Hari Krishna Group continues to stand by its commitment to fostering strong and meaningful connections within the community, one couple at a time. I feel blessed, and it gives me so much joy and relief that we have united 553 couples in marriage till now. It is said that only by God’s grace does one get the fortune to perform kanyadaan,” he said.
Initiated in 2013, the mass marriage mestival began as a heartfelt response to the many wedding invitations received from employees. Over the years, it has evolved into a cornerstone of Hari Krishna Group’s philanthropic endeavours, exemplifying its values of equality, care and community support.
