The recognition highlights HK’s sustainability work through the Dholakia Foundation’s Mission River and Mission 102030, focused on water conservation, ecological restoration and tree plantation across Gujarat
Hong Kong: Hari Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd. (HK), a global natural diamond manufacturer, concluded its participation at Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong 2025, where the company was presented with the Jewellery World Awards (JWA) 2025 in the Environmental Stewardship category for its initiatives under ‘Life Below Water’ and ‘Life On Land’. This follows the company’s recognition at JWA 2024, when Hari Krishna Exports received the Jury’s Special Recognition Award for Environmental Stewardship.
The recognition highlighted the efforts of the Dholakia Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the company, in ecological restoration. Through Mission River, the foundation has rejuvenated over 164 lakes and rivers, conserving more than 36 billion litres of water, improving irrigation for farmers, and reviving biodiversity in drought-prone regions of Gujarat. Alongside this, Mission 102030 has facilitated the plantation of 3.6 million trees, creating green corridors, carbon sinks, and micro-habitats.
The award acknowledged the foundation’s projects in restoring freshwater ecosystems, including Bharatmata Sarovar, Kalwa River, and Saraswati River. These sites now support migratory species such as Painted Storks and Herons. The projects have also contributed to agricultural productivity, reduced rural migration, and supported more than 2,50,000 farmers and villagers.
At the JWA ceremony, Ghanshyam Dholakia, Founder and Managing Director of Hari Krishna Exports, received the award along with Hasu Dholakia and Mukesh Dholakia, Head of H.K. Impex, Hong Kong distributor of Hari Krishna Exports. Rajesh Dholakia and Brijesh Dholakia were also present from the second generation.
“My father always said, keep two things in business: honesty and hard work. At Hari Krishna Exports, we live by that every day. From providing meals to our 9,000 family members to rejuvenating lakes and planting millions of trees, our efforts in sustainability are reflected in every diamond we craft. Because when we care for the land, happiness shines through in the final product,” said Ghanshyam Dholakia, Founder and Managing Director, Hari Krishna Exports.
