The initiative strengthened both the CKC Foundation’s educational mission and the jewellery brand’s resonance in the community

Bengaluru: The C Krishniah Chetty Foundation recently organized its ‘Guiding Young Minds – IAS Mentorship Session’, bringing together 56 aspiring students from underprivileged backgrounds. The session was led by senior Civil Services officers who shared insights on ethics, perseverance and ways to enter the Indian Administrative Service.

The initiative, designed to encourage students with aspirations in Civil Services, is closely tied to the Foundation’s long-standing scholarship programme, which has supported thousands of students through school and college education. By creating direct interactions with achievers from different professional fields, the CKC Foundation offers practical guidance and exposure otherwise unavailable to these students.

The event attracted young aspirants from Standard VIII to Standard X, who are part of the Foundation’s scholarship network. Through such engagements, the brand deepens its community presence while keeping its jewellery business at the centre of visibility. The mentorship session was widely shared across the official social media platforms of C Krishniah Chetty Jewellers, ensuring that the brand’s identity remained closely associated with education and empowerment.

C. Vinod Hayagriv, Managing Director of C Krishniah Chetty Group, said, “We meet thousands of students every year who have varied aspirations to be doctors, architects, civil servants or even astronauts. Our role is to not only fund their education but to bring them in contact with professionals who can guide them to realize their ambitions.”

By linking the jewellery brand with such mentorship opportunities, the company ensures recall among families, educators and local communities, all of whom eventually feed into footfalls at its stores. Customers associate the brand with credibility and long-term commitment, values essential in jewellery retail.

The session strengthened both the Foundation’s educational mission and the jewellery brand’s resonance in the community. Hayagriv added, “Jewellery has always been about legacy and trust. Just as we craft jewellery to last generations, we also aim to build enduring value in society through these initiatives.”

A heritage jeweller with roots dating back to 1869, the C. Krishniah Chetty Group is a family-run company known for its fine jewellery. The brand currently operates five showrooms in Bengaluru. Its silver brand Crash.Club, launched in July 2023, retails through these stores and online.
