Doctors and other experts addressed the participants, providing information on detection, treatment pathways and financial preparedness for cancer
Pune: CS Jewels recently organized a cancer awareness programme for its employees and customers, extending its engagement beyond retail activity. The session was led by medical professionals and aimed at providing information on detection, treatment pathways and financial preparedness for the disease.
More than 80 participants made the initiative worthwhile. Renowned physician Dr Amit Bhatt spoke about awareness and early identification, while experts from Sudarshan Cancer Hospital & Research Centre addressed the role of insurance coverage and access to care. Through the programme, the company sought to create understanding, address misconceptions and encourage timely action.
Siddharth Shah, Director, CS Jewels, said, “The core objective of the programme was to increase awareness, support early detection, dispel myths and reduce stigma. We also wanted to spread happiness and celebrate life while helping people understand the importance of being informed.”
The initiative forms part of the company’s community involvement efforts. According to Shah, CS Jewels views the local ecosystem of customers, partners and residents as an extension of its own family and continues to invest in activities that address social needs.
“Giving back to society is in the DNA of CS Jewels. We take pride in organizing programmes that serve the community. Through this camp, we were able to help people become aware of cancer and the possible remedies and support systems available,” Shah said.
The event was open to the public, enabling interaction with customers outside the showroom environment. According to the company, participation from existing patrons and new visitors created conversations that continued after the programme.
CS Jewels believes such initiatives help strengthen trust, deepen relationships and reinforce its role not only as a jewellery retailer but also as a stakeholder in community wellbeing.
The story of CS Jewels began when Late Shri Chandulal Shah founded the brand in 1827 in the town of Baramati, Maharashtra. Over the years, the brand, known as ‘Chandukaka Saraf’ expanded, with its legacy continuing into the present day. InDecember 2023, the company adopted a new logo and rebranded as CS Jewels. Today, it operates 18 stores, with 14 located across western Maharashtra and four in Karnataka.
