Thrissur: Kavitha Gold & Diamonds has unveiled a new brand film ‘She Is Gold, Her Dreams Are Gold’ featuring brand ambassador Fahadh Faasil, shifting the narrative from gold as a product or investment to its place in the aspirations and emotions of the women who wear it. The campaign marks a new phase in the brand’s communication, following its earlier positioning as ‘The Versatile Jeweller’.

The film opens with the question, ‘What makes gold special?’ It moves as Faasil explores its many dimensions—how it adds a glow to special occasions, becomes a meaningful gift for someone we love, represents traditions, craftsmanship and design. While these associations remain relevant, the film arrives at its central thought: the true significance of gold lies in how it reflects the dreams and wishes of the person who wears it. Set against a quintessential South Indian wedding backdrop, the film places the bride and her aspirations at the heart of the narrative.

According to Tinson Tomy, Brand Marketing Manager, Kavitha Gold & Diamonds, the campaign was shaped by a fundamental question around gold’s significance to its core audience. “One question that came up time and again was what is it that made gold special, and what role did gold play in the lives of the brides-to-be, who form a huge chunk of our primary market. That is how this film evolved, around that question, which brought us to the final answer that ‘Gold is about the people who wear it and it is about their dreams’. From there, it was easy to arrive at our core thought, ‘She is Gold, Her Dreams Are Gold’,” says Tomy.

Tomy adds that while gold’s associations with tradition, craftsmanship, gifting, celebrations and investment remain important, the film seeks to highlight a more personal dimension of the category. “The most important thing about gold is how it reflects the dreams and wishes of the person who is going to wear it,” he observes.

The campaign also builds on Kavitha Gold & Diamonds’ three-year association with actor Fahadh Faasil. Having previously aligned his image as a versatile actor with the brand’s ‘The Versatile Jeweller’ positioning, Faasil now supports the brand’s shift towards a more emotionally driven bridal narrative.

According to Tomy, the partnership has helped Kavitha Gold & Diamonds gain wide acceptance across South India and the Middle East. He describes it as a healthy and successful association, with Faasil contributing to the brand’s growth. “Faasil was involved from the ideation stage of the campaign, helping ensure that the brand and its customers remained central to the communication. His role is deliberately positioned around the bride rather than overshadowing her, reinforcing the campaign’s central thought that her dreams take centre stage on her wedding day,” says Tomy.

For Kavitha Gold & Diamonds, the campaign is also intended to strengthen its connection with its core market in Kerala. Already an established player in the State’s jewellery landscape, the brand is using the film to communicate a deeper understanding of prospective brides and their expectations. “We want our customers to understand that we know you and your dreams, and that knowledge is the true gold for us,” says Tomy, describing the key take-away the brand hopes to leave with its customers. This emotional proposition is supported by Kavitha Gold & Diamonds’ customer-focused offerings.

The film has reportedly received a positive response across its target markets, with engagement extending beyond industry circles to customers across different social and geographical segments. For the brand, the campaign represents an opportunity to broaden its customer connect while reinforcing its positioning in Kerala’s competitive jewellery market.

Kavitha Gold & Diamonds, which operates multiple showrooms across South India and the UAE, has expanded its retail footprint with the opening of its 14th showroom in Thalassery, Kerala. The new showroom was inaugurated on August 22, 2026, at Manavatty Junction.
