Mumbai: Kalyan Jewellers has launched ‘Crystal’, a future-ready vendor portal designed to digitally integrate procurement, design onboarding and vendor collaboration across its retail network. The platform was unveiled at the company’s India Business Centre (IBC) at MIDC, Mumbai, marking a significant step in Kalyan Jewellers’ ongoing technology-led transformation.

Crystal has been developed as a comprehensive digital interface connecting Kalyan Jewellers’ showrooms directly with its manufacturing and wholesale vendor ecosystem. Through the portal, showroom teams can view, select and plan inventory from across the company’s approved vendor database, enabling faster and more informed procurement decisions.

The portal was formally launched in the presence of Rajesh Kalyanaraman, Executive Director, Kalyan Jewellers, and his wife Maya Rajesh, along with senior leadership, vendor partners and key stakeholders, accompanied by Pongal celebrations. The launch underscored the company’s focus on strengthening long-term vendor relationships through transparency and structured digital processes.

Designed to operate in real time, Crystal integrates the entire procurement pipeline—from showroom-level requirements to vendor manufacturing and supply—within a single platform. According to the company, the system will significantly enhance speed, planning accuracy and operational efficiency, while reducing manual intervention and approval cycles.

Key features of the portal include centralized vendor and design management, real-time visibility across the supply chain, faster approvals, improved planning and performance monitoring, and stronger compliance frameworks. The platform also enables seamless design onboarding, version control and catalogue integration, helping standardize processes across a geographically diverse retail network.

By digitizing design and inventory workflows, Crystal is expected to improve coordination between merchandising, sourcing and retail teams, while giving vendors clearer visibility into demand trends and expectations. The portal also supports data-driven decision-making, enabling better forecasting and reducing turnaround times.

The launch of Crystal aligns with Kalyan Jewellers’ broader strategy to build a scalable, agile and digitally integrated jewellery ecosystem that can support its expanding global footprint, and reflects the brand’s continued commitment to technology-driven operational excellence and supply chain transformation.

Headquartered in Thrissur, Kerala, Kalyan Jewellers operates more than 450 showrooms across India, the Middle East, the UK and the USA, making supply-chain efficiency a critical enabler of growth.
