By hosting a skill-building workshop for those outside its system, the jeweller used a festive occasion to show how early training can translate into confidence, aspiration, and long-term opportunity
Kolkata: Sawansukha Jewellers, in association with Sawansukha Institute, celebrated the spirit of Christmas by empowering 50 underprivileged girls from Kolkata, through a thoughtfully curated jewellery manufacturing workshop.
The workshop was conducted by the students and faculty of Sawansukha Institute, who guided the girls through the process of creating handcrafted bracelets. This hands-on experience introduced them to the fundamentals of jewellery craftsmanship while encouraging creativity, confidence and self-expression.
As a heartfelt Christmas gesture, Siddharthaa Sawansukha, MD, Sawansukha Jewellers and Founder, Sawansukha Institute, gifted each girl the bracelet she crafted, along with several other surprises.
Sawansukha said, “We aim to extend the institute’s legacy beyond classrooms—sharing knowledge and craftsmanship with young aspirants who, with the right guidance, can grow to become the nation’s pride in the future.”
Founded 15 years ago, Sawansukha Institute was established with a vision to create skilled professionals in the field of jewellery manufacturing and design. Staying true to this mission, the institute continues to believe that skill development is one of the most powerful tools for empowerment.
Sawansukha Jewellers runs seven stores – the flagship Camac Street showroom and four other stores in Kolkata, and one store each in Siliguri and Raipur.
