The brand marked its national advertising debut with the campaign, which reaffirmed its belief that contextual marketing creates the strongest impact when it stems from authenticity and purpose
Mumbai: Kumari Fine Jewellery made a mark with its first national advertising campaign, ‘Play Bold. Dazzle Always’, as it joined the nation in celebrating the triumph of India’s women cricketers during the ICC Women’s World Cup finals on November 2. The campaign featured an L Band television commercial placement that emerged on the screen eight times during live telecast of the crucial match, giving the brand high visibility before a global audience.
With the tagline ‘She always sparkles extra’, the campaign reflected the brand’s philosophy of celebrating the ‘extra’ spirit that defines every woman – her confidence, creativity and ability to shine in every role she plays.
“We had been following the ICC Women’s World Cup very closely this year. The energy, anticipation and incredible talent on display made it clear that this was not just another sporting event. It was a defining cultural moment,” said Amit Bandi, CEO, Kumari Fine Jewellery. “We recognized an opportunity to celebrate the strength and spirit of Indian women through a lens that felt true to our brand. That is how our campaign ‘Play Bold. Dazzle Always’ was born.”

The idea for the campaign, conceived and executed within days, was designed to connect emotionally with audiences at a moment of national pride. It drew from the brand’s belief that being a ‘Kumari’ is about attitude and authenticity rather than age or profession.’
“For us, a Kumari could be a 25-year-old or a 40-year-old woman balancing multiple roles – home-maker in the morning, professional in the afternoon and socialite by evening. This campaign saluted that everyday brilliance,” said Bandi. “It was a last-minute opportunity for Kumari Fine Jewellery ahead of the finals, and we used it to share the message that Kumaris are on the field and off it too.”
According to Bandi, the campaign was never about visibility or advertising metrics. “It was about creating genuine synergy between the sport and our brand philosophy,” Bandi stated. “The Indian team played with the same confidence and self-belief that Kumari stands for. They reminded us that boldness and beauty are two sides of the same story.”
The televised ad was designed to evoke emotion among viewers as millions tuned in to watch the game. The brand’s social media activity during the finals further extended that sentiment. Kumari’s celebratory posts, including one calling cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues a ‘true gem’, struck a chord with followers and strengthened its growing connection with audiences across India. The response reaffirmed the brand’s belief that contextual marketing creates the strongest impact when it stems from authenticity and purpose.
As the Kumari team watched the finals live, the campaign’s message seemed to come full circle when India lifted the trophy. It felt like a shared victory for the country, for women everywhere and for brands that know when to celebrate something meaningful. The moment aligned perfectly with Kumari’s own philosophy of women who play bold and dazzle always.
The success of this initiative adds to Kumari’s earlier marketing campaigns that have stood out for their creativity and relevance. From turning the streets of Bandra pink during its boutique launch to the playful #SiblingTax campaign around Raksha Bandhan, the brand has used story-telling to connect with women across generations. The ‘Play Bold. Dazzle Always’ campaign during the ICC Women’s World Cup finals, however, has become a defining milestone in the brand’s journey into a national conversation.
Looking ahead, Kumari plans to continue leveraging cultural and social platforms that mirror its ethos of empowerment and individuality. Its ongoing #IAmKumari campaign will remain central to this effort, with plans to collaborate with women achievers from diverse fields, including sports and entrepreneurship, to celebrate contemporary expressions of brilliance.
Established in 2022, Kumari Fine Jewellery operates through an omnichannel model with three retail outlets – two in Mumbai and one in Indore. The brand blends modern design sensibilities with traditional craftsmanship, offering contemporary fine jewellery for the modern Indian woman. With a growing digital presence and expanding retail footprint, Kumari continues to strengthen its position as an accessible jewellery market.
