While the company added just one Tanishq store in the US during the quarter, it saw a doubling of its jewellery business in the United States
Bengaluru: Titan Company Ltd has released its Q1FY26 business update. While the company recorded a 20% year-on-year increase in its consumer business for the quarter, the jewellery division – which includes brands such as Tanishq, Mia, Zoya and CaratLane – posted 18% year-on-year growth. This segment saw the addition of 19 new stores, taking its total store count to 1,089 in India. Specifically, Tanishq added three new stores, Mia added seven new stores and CaratLane added nine new stores.
The company noted that gold price volatility had an impact on overall jewellery growth. Sales during Akshaya Tritiya showed improvement but slowed from mid-May to the end of June due to rising gold prices.,
Meanwhile, the watches segment grew 23% year-on-year, supported by both volume and value growth. Nine new stores were opened in the quarter, bringing the total number of watch stores to 1,244.The emerging businesses unit, comprising fragrances, women’s bags, and the Taneira brand, reported over 50% year-on-year growth.
The company’s international business grew 49% year-on-year, driven primarily by growth in Tanishq’s store in the United States. While the company added just one store at the international location in the quarter, it saw a doubling of Tanishq’s business in the United States.
During Q1FY26, Titan shares gained over 20.5%, outperforming the NIFTY50 index, which rose nearly 8% in the same period.
Titan Company Limited has expanded significantly since its inception in 1984, when it began with a single product category. Today, the company operates 16 brands across more than 2,000 retail stores, with a focus on fashion accessories including jewellery, watches, and eyewear.
