Vendi Silver launches rings with ‘invisible’ tech-enabled messages to target Valentine’s Day shoppers

Use of the Extreme Precision Fluorescent Laser (EPFL) technology makes an engraving visible only when the rings catch sunlight

Chennai: Silver-jewellery brand Vendi has launched an exclusive, limited-edition line of silver rings that “push the boundaries of modern technology and personalization” as described by A.V.R Siddhant, Founder of Vendi Silver. Launched a week ahead of Valentine’s Day, the line introduces a feature using the Extreme Precision Fluorescent Laser (EPFL) technology an invisible engraving that becomes visible only when the ring catches sunlight, and there is a reflection.

The idea behind the launch, according to Siddhant, was to offer something unique in a market that often overlooks innovation in jewellery. “We wanted to do something different,” he explains. “February is the month of love, and we thought, why not launch a product that stands out by incorporating a technology which isn’t readily available in the market?”

The technology used in these rings is such that the laser-engraved messages and designs imperceptible to the naked eye or even under a microscope, are revealed through the reflection of light, offering a novel way for customers to personalize their jewellery. These rings are highly customizable, allowing customers to add any personalized message or motif to the jewellery. A pair of rings is designed to be a set, with the two rings coming together to complete a message.

Vendi has chosen to promote the rings online and through targeted digital marketing efforts, ensuring a broad, international reach for the products. “The response has been overwhelmingly positive so far, and we’ve already received numerous inquiries since launching the collection,” said Siddhant.

As part of the launch, Vendi has introduced a fun and interactive ‘Love Lock Contest’. Customers who make a purchase will receive a coupon for a lucky draw, where they can submit a slogan and enter to win silver jewellery worth Rs 50,000. This contest is set to run through International Women’s Day, allowing broader participation.

Founded in 2021, Vendi has built a strong retail footprint in Bengaluru and Chennai, operating three stores in each city. The brand recently opened another store in Bengaluru.
