Celebrities embraced chokers, layered necklaces and statement earrings for the festival season

Mumbai: This Diwali, India’s most celebrated festival, saw celebrities wearing some of the season’s most coveted jewellery pieces. From glamorous festival parties to Instagram celebrations, Bollywood’s finest displayed an array of trending designs, with chokers, layered necklaces and dramatic earrings taking centre stage.

One of India’s biggest fashion icons Genelia D’Souza led the trend with her statement pieces, featuring an elegant choker, Karisma Kapoor and Ananya Panday further cemented the choker’s prominence, while Janhvi Kapoor and Diana Penty championed statement earrings as the season’s must-have accessory.

Exuding elegance, Genelia D’Souza wore Tanishq’s ‘Warrior’s Grace’ choker from the Nav-Raani collection. This masterpiece, inspired by warrior queens’ armour, features intricate inlays and angular details centred around a striking green gem—symbolising modern women’s strength.

Appearing on India’s Best Dancer Season 4’s Diwali special, Kapoor donned a single-layer red gemstone choker, harmoniously paired with delicate pendant chains from Anu Merton and Signature Jewellery, crowned with a statement cuff bangle.

Janhvi Kapoor

Embodying Diwali sophistication, Janhvi Kapoor chose elegant diamond and pearl drop earrings, complemented by bangles from Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas.

Ananya Panday

Ananya Panday reinforced the choker trend, adorning her festive attire with an exquisite piece from Jagdish Jewellers, Chandigarh.

Madhuri Dixit Nene

The timeless actress opted for classic elegance with a diamond lariat necklace from Jadau Jewellery by Falguni Mehta, enhanced by stacked diamond bangles and rings from Khanna Jewellers.

Diana Penty embraced the statement earring trend with circular chandbalis from Renu Oberoi Luxury Jewellery, Mumbai.

Vidya Balan

During her Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 promotions, Vidya Balan channelled her iconic ‘Manjulika’ character, wearing classical dance jewellery from Kishandas & Co, Hyderabad’s heritage brand established in 1870.
