The brand saw a surge of about 20-25% in their retail orders over last year’s show. This was attributed to the ace management of the organisers and their call to increase the booth space for facilitating efficiency in business interactions
Mumbai: Attendees of the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) 2024 have expressed their satisfaction with the improvements and enhancements seen at this year’s trade show. Many noted that the event featured greater and better facilities, a higher standard of management, and a more organized approach to how the show was hosted. These upgrades not only elevated the overall experience but also contributed to a more seamless and enjoyable environment for both exhibitors and visitors.
For Deepak Mor, Partner at Arav Jewels, the additional space allocated to most booths, including his own, was a significant highlight. He emphasized that this extra room allowed brands like his to better accommodate their clients, providing them with the attention and service they deserved. The spacious setup also enabled exhibitors to showcase their products more prominently, ensuring that their brand’s offerings were displayed to their fullest potential. Mor noted that this change was particularly beneficial for engaging with potential buyers, as the enhanced space and layout made it easier to have meaningful interactions and discussions. Overall, the improvements at IIJS 2024 contributed to a more effective and successful presentation for many brands, including Arav Jewels, making this year’s show a standout event in the industry.
“Everything here has been excellent, and the spaciousness of the booths is a prime change that was brought about his year,” he commented.
Mor also highlighted the substantial improvement in the response received at this year’s IIJS compared to the previous year. According to him, the show not only drew in a larger crowd but also resulted in a significant increase in business activity for his brand. He noted that the number of orders received from retail clients saw a boost, with about a 20-25% increase compared to the previous year’s figures. “We are based in South India and so, we got most of the orders from the same region. We also supply to other regions in the country, and they too were quite interested in our products”, he explained.
With the reduction in the customs duty, Mor explained that the business had picked up in the last 15 days and this was evident during the buying at IIJS this time. “We were here for all the five days at NESCO and noticed that the first three days were the busiest for us”, he maintained.
In the brand’s experience, the buying in the two categories they offer was abundant, which reflected a trend in polki diamond jewellery and 18kt Victorian jewellery.
