Mia by Tanishq strengthens retail footprint in Chennai with four new stores
All of the stores, that were inaugurated on the occasion of the Varamahalakshmi festival, will cater to the needs of the modern and financially independent customer base of Chennai, one of the key markets for the brand
Tata Group’s fine jewellery brand Mia by Tanishq has expanded its brick-and-mortar presence in Chennai by opening four new stores in the Tamil Nadu city. Each store measures around 3,350 square feet and retails the brand’s gold, diamond, and coloured gemstone jewellery.
“Mia by Tanishq is an important part of Titan’s jewellery portfolio that caters to the Gen Z,” said Ajoy Chawla, CEO Jewellery Division, Titan Company Limited. “Today, we proudly open the doors to four new stores in Chennai. This city is a key market for Mia, thriving with many modern, young, financially independent women. Doubling Mia’s retail footprint in Chennai is our commitment to making the brand more accessible in this very trendy city.”
The stores were each inaugurated on the occasion of the Varamahalakshmi festival and the brand offered shoppers 20% off purchases to celebrate the openings. Now counting eight stores in Chennai, Mia by Tanishq has established a strong retail presence in the city. Mia by Tanishq has also launched a line of 925 sterling silver Rakhis to celebrate the festival of Raksha Bandhan, the brand announced on Facebook. Some of the Rakhis are customisable with a section to add a photo while others include whimsical details such as moustaches. Mia by Tanishq also launched ‘Icicles’ as a gold jewellery collection featuring frosty gemstones.
