At a time when gold prices are at an all-time high, Shaya Diamonds is light on the pocket and finished with the signature white gold-like look that defines CaratLane’s contemporary aesthetic
Mumbai: CaratLane has launched Shaya Diamonds, a brand of jewellery with natural diamonds set in 925 silver. The new range marks the first time the brand has combined natural diamonds with silver, expanding its offering beyond traditional gold-based formats.
The launch aims to address changing consumer preferences, particularly at a time when gold prices remain elevated. By using silver as the base metal, CaratLane is positioning the collection as an entry point for customers looking to purchase natural diamond jewellery. Prices for the Shaya Diamonds range start at Rs 5,000, making it suitable for gifting as well as first-time diamond buyers.
Saumen Bhaumik, Managing Director, CaratLane, said: “Diamonds are at the heart of CaratLane. As gold prices climb, we don’t want that to stand between our customers and the diamonds they love. With Shaya Diamonds, we’re experimenting with 925 silver-set diamonds to open up a new, more accessible path to owning natural diamonds.”
Shaya Diamonds has been launched under Shaya, CaratLane’s sub-brand, which focuses on contemporary silver jewellery. Ajith Singh R, Associate Vice President and Business Head – Shaya by CaratLane, said, “Shaya has always celebrated individuality and self-expression. With Shaya Diamonds, we’ve taken that spirit a step further, creating designs that combine the timeless appeal of diamonds with the cool, confident energy of silver. It’s both silver and diamonds, done differently.”
Shaya Diamonds is available at select CaratLane stores across Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru, and on the brand’s website.
Founded in 2008 as an online jewellery platform, CaratLane received investment from Titan in 2016 and has since expanded into an omni-channel retailer. The brand currently operates over 350 stores in India and has an international presence in New Jersey.
