In the next phase of the campaign, the brand intends to invite consumers to share their own heirloom jewellery stories
Bulandshahr: Pandit Jewellers has launched ‘Dadi Ki Tijori’, a six-episode digital story-telling series that celebrates the emotional significance of heirloom jewellery. Rather than focusing solely on design or craftsmanship, the campaign explores the memories, traditions and family bonds that make jewellery a lasting legacy.
The series forms the second phase of the brand’s larger ‘Pyaar Baantne Se Badhta Hai’ ad campaign. Following a Print campaign which celebrated the family tree and the message ‘Pyaar Baantne Se Badhta Hai’, ‘Dadi Ki Tijori’ brings the philosophy to life through a light-hearted story spanning three generations under one roof. At the heart of the narrative is Dadi, a wise matriarch whose timely investment in gold becomes the thread connecting the family’s emotions, relationships and values. As the story unfolds, audiences discover that the real treasure lies not just in the jewellery stored in the ‘tijori’, but in the love, wisdom and traditions passed down through generations.
Speaking about the personal moment that inspired the campaign, Garima Gaur, Director, Pandit Jewellers Pvt. Ltd., says the series was born out of a cherished family experience. “The idea for ‘Dadi Ki Tijori’ was inspired by a beautiful moment in my own family. My husband’s grandmother gathered everyone together one day and distributed her jewellery—not only to her daughters, grand-daughters and daughters-in-law, but also set aside pieces for the daughters-in-law who would join the family in future. That moment made me realize that in India, we don’t just pass on jewellery; we pass on love, traditions, memories and values from one generation to the next.”
The campaign also aims to encourage customer participation. Its third phase will invite consumers to share the stories behind their own heirloom jewellery. This will be accompanied by a contest offering exclusive benefits and the chance to win a gold coin. The initiative is designed to spark conversations around family traditions while strengthening customer engagement beyond the digital series.
For Pandit Jewellers, ‘Dadi Ki Tijori’ represents a conscious shift towards story-telling as a means of building deeper customer relationships. As a progressive family jeweller with a 122-year legacy, the brand believes its role extends beyond showcasing jewellery to celebrating the values, traditions and relationships that every piece represents. Gaur also believes story-telling plays a crucial role in shaping consumer perception, particularly in the heritage jewellery segment, where purchases are deeply emotional rather than impulsive. “When customers see the emotion and traditions behind a piece, they don’t just buy jewellery; they become a part of its story. We value long-term relationships with our customers, and when that relationship is built on trust and emotional connection, purchase decisions naturally follow,” she says.
With two episodes now released, ‘Dadi Ki Tijori’ has received an overwhelmingly positive response from customers, though Gaur says the team was initially uncertain about how audiences would receive the concept. “We were a little sceptical because we believe we are among the first family jewellers to attempt something like this. By God’s grace, the response has been superb. Mine and Gaurav’s inboxes are full of appreciation, and customers have been sharing pictures of jewellery pieces they received from their grandparents,” she states.
Looking ahead, Pandit Jewellers sees content-led storytelling as an important part of its brand strategy. While Gaur says a sequel to ‘Dadi Ki Tijori’ remains a possibility if the series continues to resonate, she emphasizes that the brand’s broader objective is to create campaigns that leave a lasting impression.
“Every campaign we create must be meaningful, thought-provoking and entertaining. We don’t just want to sell jewellery; we want to create conversations, celebrate our culture and leave our audience with something of value,” Gaur says.
Pandit Jewellers, a legacy jewellery house rooted in Bulandshahr, has recently expanded its footprint with the launch of its new showroom in Sector 18, Noida. Alongside its strong presence in India, the brand has also established an international presence in the USA, taking its legacy of craftsmanship and trust to a global audience.
