Hyderabad: Luxury fashion house Sabyasachi has opened a flagship store at the Taj Krishna in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills, presenting its fine jewellery and international collections at a premium location. The boutique reflects the brand’s signature opulence and craftsmanship, offering a curated experience for customers.

Designed to feel like a grand manor house, the boutique exudes an old-world charm with its lavish decor and meticulous attention to detail. The space incorporates elements reminiscent of traditional Indian homes, blending them seamlessly with European influences. Antiques, books and plush seating areas create a warm, inviting atmosphere where customers can browse in comfort.

The store showcases Sabyasachi’s renowned high jewellery collection, which features handcrafted pieces that fuse traditional Indian craftsmanship with contemporary design aesthetics. Alongside the jewellery, the boutique presents a carefully curated selection of Western-influenced apparel, catering to a growing global audience. These collections include structured silhouettes, luxurious fabrics, and intricate embellishments.

The store opening follows Sabyasachi’s 25th anniversary celebrations, which featured a high-profile runway show attended by industry leaders, celebrities and fashion influencers. The event also marked the launch of an exclusive high jewellery collection, further cementing the brand’s expertise in haute couture and luxury design. This milestone represents a significant step in Sabyasachi’s journey toward establishing itself as perhaps India’s first global luxury label, positioning the brand alongside internationally recognized names in the high-end fashion and jewellery industry.

“In 2001, I started my business with a small team of three,” designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee shared on Facebook. “I had very little money but an abundance of middle-class idealism. Over time, the fortunes changed. The idealism remained. Today, Sabyasachi works with over 3,000 artisans from across India who are tirelessly restoring India’s heritage of arts and crafts to its full glory. I have never believed India to be a Third World country. We are a first world civilization, where luxury originated and where it has always belonged. Together, we are creating India’s first global luxury brand.”

The latest store, the brand’s second outlet in Hyderabad, takes the tally of Sabyasachi showrooms in India to five, along with a boutique in New York.
