In a video message released after his appointment, Chatterjee delivers a heartfelt message about his personal connection with jewellery and the legacy of the brand. He joins the ranks of actors Saiee Manjrekar and Nikita Dutta, who already represent the brand
Kolkata: Leading jewellery house P.C. Chandra Jewellers recently announced celebrated Bengali actor Abir Chatterjee as its new brand ambassador. The announcement was made through a special video campaign released on the brand’s social media platforms.
In the launch video, Chatterjee delivers a heartfelt message about his personal connection with jewellery and the legacy of the brand. “Jewellery to me is more than just an adornment; it’s an emotion — a silent witness to our moments, milestones, and memories. Growing up, P.C. Chandra Jewellers wasn’t just a name; it was part of every celebration in our home. Even today, that name continues to sparkle in our hearts… and in our present,” the actor shared. “To be associated with this 85-year legacy of trust, craftsmanship, and timeless tradition is an honour I deeply cherish.”
On the occasion of Poila Baisakh, marking the Bengali New Year, the brand released a second video featuring Chatterjee. In this film, he reminisces about the simple joys that define Bengali culture — from Rabindra Sangeet and a mother’s home-cooked meals to the tradition of wearing new clothes — all of which he beautifully associates with the essence of the Bengali New Year.
Earlier this year, in January, the brand also announced the onboarding of Saiee Manjrekar, known for her role in Dabangg 3, to expand its appeal among younger, pan-Indian audiences. Meanwhile, actor Nikita Dutta, last seen in Netflix’s Jewel Thief, fronted the brand’s bridal campaign Swarna Mrigaya, launched recently as a celebration of heritage-inspired bridal designs.
Founded in 1939 by Late Purna Chandra, PC Chandra Jewellers specializes in a wide range of gold, diamond and silver jewellery, including traditional and contemporary pieces. The brand has 70 showrooms across India, with locations in 10 key cities including Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Noida and others.
