Students from Iran graduate from IGI School of Gemology

IGI School of Gemology had its first batch of Iranian students graduate in the diamond as well as colored stone program on October 21, 2019. These students, led by Amir Kazem Kefayati of Iran attended a ten-day program which gave them a broader picture of the international gem and jewelry market as well as a closer look at the Indian industry. IGI has been conducting specialized programs for students from Iran, giving them an insight about varied diamonds and colored stones as well as the trade-in general.

An IGI graduate himself, Kefayati, being the spokesperson for IGI in Iran has been in awe of the dynamic gem and jewelry industry in India. “The Indian industry is so vibrant and enterprising. These students from Iran wanted to experience and learn from the practical working of the industry and we are grateful to team IGI for an amazing experience and the unparalleled learnings,” said Kefayati.

IGI has been curating programs for students across the world, giving them a perspective of the practical functioning of the gem and jewelry industry. “At IGI School of Gemology, we believe in the philosophy of continuing education with adequate industrial exposure. The students who attended the program are professionally qualified and belong to the industry in Tehran. “We are extremely happy with the course content. The instructors at IGI were very helpful, extending their support throughout with the curriculum.
